Jeita Grotto is considered one of the most amazing natural artifacts in the Middle East and one of the most beautiful caves known to mankind through modern and ancient times. It consists of two layers, the first is an inferior cave called the “water crystal”, where an underground river flows, which allows the visitors to discover it by a small boat ride; and the upper cave with natural wonders of stalagmites, stalactites, and transparent curtains. Jeita Cave is one of the qualifying places for the Group of Seven Wonders of the World, and the cave has become one of the most important tourist places in Lebanon.

The Harissa area, which overlooks the Jounieh Bay, is distinguished by its religious character, as it includes the shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon. This shrine consists of a huge statue of the Virgin Mary, which annually receives many believers, Arabs and foreign tourists who visits “Our Lady of Lebanon” to pray or to get to know this holy Lebanese spot and to admire the amazing landscapes. It is noteworthy that the shrine of “Our Lady of Lebanon” can only be reached by taking the “Jounieh” cable car, which allows during this short trip to get acquainted with the natural forests that characterize this region, as well as the wonderful panoramic view of Jounieh bay.
